I think whats most inspiring about the article is that kayla H. came from the same town as us and achieved
so much.I felt good after the assembly.And i did notice that she talked about goals.
Kayla Harrison inspires me to win an olympic medal. When she talked in the assembly I wanted to make a goal. Wanted to be known in this world. And I do realize she talked about goals.
The most inspiring thing in this article to Kayla Harrison is helping getting a group together for people who have been abused. She wants to help all of the groups but she has decided to more than likely come up with her own group. I think Kayla spoke very well at the assembly because she explained how she had to set up small goals first then make her goals bigger to get into the Olympics. I think Kayla is a great inspiration!
The most inspiring thing in the article was that she was sexually abused by her coach and had enough courage to tell people about it. In the assembly, I really liked when she fought the new wrestling coach. Another thing I thought was interesting is when she said "A goal set is a goal met". It inspires me to reach my goal.

The most inspiring thing that I did not realize was that she was sexually abused by her old coach. To some people that might not mean a lot but with her being able to overcome this and continue to train and win the Olympics in Judo is a pretty big goal she got through. So, I'm sure if she can overcome this, then we all can achieve our own goals! Her story is pretty inspiring to me and i'm sure to others. Congrats Kayla.
First of all having Kayla Harrison come to the school was just a mind blowing experience for me because it kinda just makes me think, if she can do that then just imagine what i could do if i like really truly put my mind to it! The most interesting thing i found in the article is when it said that she was the first American to win a gold medal in Judo. i thought it was cool enough just having the gold medal but to be the first to have one in Judo. It kinda makes me believe that girls truly run the world ;P I also think that her speaking to us about goals is very convinient for you because i now just might take interest in your class.
The most inspiring thing about Kayla that I read was after she won gold she gets to go all across the United States. It shows that hard work pays off. I was excited to see her yesterday. Its just amazing that she is the first person from the U.S. to earn a gold medal in Judo. I never really watched Judo before but once I heard she was from Middletown I had to watch it. I learned if you set your goals high and work to achieve your goals anything is possible.
The most inspiring thing about Kayla Harrison is she went through so much and never gave up, she went all the way to the top. Anybody that was abused ,by somebody they trusted and cared for, and still went on to train is really strong. As she was giving her speech and telling us how she got to the top, it made me think about my future and how if i don't put my mind to something and set goals, then i'm not going to get very far in life. The most inspiring thing about Kayla Harrison was her speech. It made me feel like there is hope for every one of us. She came from where I'm from with no excuses. She followed her dreams and got where she wanted to be. Knowing she done this, gives us inspiration to follow our dream/s too.

I think kayla is a veary brave woman because she set a goal and didnt stop untill she accomplished it. After she spoke at the assembly I feel I can achieve anything I want if I put my mind to it, and really work for it like she did with her goals.
In my opinion, the most inspiring thing about Kayla is how she sincerely wants others to achieve. She does not say these things for publicity, she simply hopes the best for people! I think it is amazing how open she is about being sexually abused. Many are afraid to admit it, or to get help. Having such a strong girl, ( mentally , emotionally , & physically ) be open about it, is very inspiring to others in the same situation. Even those who aren't feel encouraged to help the cause.
She spoke often about goals. At the assembly, she explained each step of her goals to the audience. She started with small, everyday goals, gradually increasing. She listed things she could do right then that would help her improve. It is so incredible that someone could set such a high goal and reach it. It shows you that if you really set your mind to something you want, you can do it. It motivates me to do the same and dream big.
Kayla believed in herself and worked at winning the olympics. And because of this she pushed herself more and more. It's really motivating to learn about someone who was sexually abused by a coach that still tried. I will always look up to Kayla Harrison now. People say mIddletown has nothing going for it, some even say if we don't get out now we'll be stuck forever. Even though Kayla got out half walk through her hgighschool years she alwyas finds her way back home. This is her home and it will always be our home too, no matter where we end up. Her assembly at school really inspired me to look into the future and realize thiere is somehting out ther for all of us to become. She made us realize we need to make somehitng of ourselves, and even though most of us are planning too , we need to really make it happen.

what is very inspiring to me is that when she was sexually abused by her former coach , she knew there were more people that went through the same she has and made a group for those people who need help to go through it. when she came over for the assembly she talked about setting goals. by setting that goal and making your way to achieve it , it will be met "A goal set is a goeal met" that is a quote i will remember forever. she has tought me that the littlest goal can become big later and can make a change. Kayla is a true inspiation and an amazing role model to others. she has made me proud to be a middie :)

What was most inspirational to me was the fact she had the guts to move away from her friends and family to achieve her dreams. She did it by setting a series of goals that progressively got bigger. It made me realize the impact goals can really have on someone's life. It was also inspiring how she powered through trials. To still achieve her goals is an achievement. I felt a pull to try to get my goals more clear and final after speaking with kayla

It's very inspiring that Kayla was abused and still got to where she is today. Being abused like that normally pushes people down and causes them to not follow their dreams but she pushed past the hurt in her life and made her dreams reality. I wasn't able to attend the assembly but I'm sure she was very excited to speak to everyone at the highschool.

The inspirational thing about Kayla coming to our school was the fact that even after all of her fame and success, she still remembers her roots in this small town. That shows that she is truly proud of where she came from and she made me realize, that with some hard work and effort, dreams can come true.
