Machinist, welding and manufacturing areas are jobs that need more people in the field. I am not interested in any of these jobs. I am thinking about being a radiology tech.

No one these days really thinks "I want to become a welder" or machinist or pretty much anything in the manufacturing department. Most want to do something semi-creative like cook or graphic design. I myself want to be a computer programmer, yet the sad thing is that we need less artists and graphic designers and chefs and more engineers and manufacturers.

Welding, machine production, and many other trade jobs are jobs that more people should go to due to the economy. I would not be interested in any of these careers. I want to be a vet.

I think it outstanding on how our economy has changed over the pass few year. i still cant believe that our employment rate was as low as it was. I hope to see more and more changes in this economy that would inspired me to keep moving forward.

I think that we need more people in all areas of the work field not just machinist, welding, and other manufacturing areas. No one really wants to be those workers. People want to be more creative and do what they want as a job.

We need to find more people that are interested in the work field that wants to pursue there career of being a welder, machinist or anything else. We need to find these people so we won't lack so much. There are people out there that are interested we just go look and find those people. The work field working conditions are not good and you have to use a lot of physical energy and sooner or later I think people get tired and doesn't want to continue working in those terrible conditions. People want jobs that they enjoy that pays good and great working conditions.

there needs to be more people interested in manufacturing jobs. Especially since thats the one area that actually needs people for work. Im very interested in welding or other jobs like that considering how much they pay.

Austin Tribbey4 said...

People don't like to become a machinist or a welder or plumber because of the simple fact that were all lazy. And the job requires a lot of work into it. people would rather chose to sit at a desk and complain about they're life. people are already at a computer enough. And if we had more people on the job then maybe it wouldn't cost us so much to get something fixed whenever we call for someone.

The lack of interest among young people in many blue-collar trades—such as welding, machine production and aviation mechanics—means they're missing out on reasonably well-paid positions in fields where employment prospects are improving.

yes we do need more people who want to go into these career fields but lets be honest. not very many kids tell their moms when they're little that they want to be a welder or a mechanist. i also don't hear many high schoolers saying they want to do these jobs to support their family and have a life. you cant force people to do these jobs. if they don't want to do them then they just plain and simply don't want to do them. this won't effect me because i'm going to be a physical therapist.

There are a lot of jobs in the U.S. Some of them are more common than others. Some of them are more exciting than others. We can't control what interests people have and what jobs they decide to pursue. If some jobs need more attention, and no one seems to take an interest in them, I guess we'll have to find a way around it. I myself want to be a teacher, or possibly an artist, so my opinion doesn't have a lot of support and evidence, but that's what i have to say. PEACE OUT!

The jobs that are listed in this article would be welding and machinist. No, neither of this jobs are something i would like to do. the career i would like to have when i'm older would be a ultrasound radiologist.

Matt Sprinkles 4 said...

Any profession that relates to manufacturing and welding, none of the jobs mentioned were part of my interest and i have no interest in pursuing any type of job at the current time or ever thought of it.

Machinist, welding and manufacturing. I am not interested in any of these fields. When choosing your career you should pick things that interests you and not just be in it for the money. I am interested in Social Work. They may not make as much money, but it is something that i will enjoy doing.

KierraH5 said...

All the jobs like machinist, welding and manufacturing are all jobs teens wouldn't think to be interested in. I'm not planning to do any of these jobs because there not my thing. I plan to be a art teacher.

College is important, it's benificial when it comes to making money and getting a good job, but it's not necessary. Alot of people succeed without a college education, so it really depends on what you're trying to do. I recommend going to college, you should get as much knowledge as possible, but you don't have to. So it's somewhat important if you want a certain job that requires a degree or if you want a better chance of getting hired, but other than that, like I said before, you don't NEED it.

most people do not think these days most people really do not think about what they wont to be but in most fields we need people for the job like in the tech, computer,or like even the schools these days..

I've heard welding and other trade jobs bring in good money. This article proves that to be true. I would never be interested in any of those jobs but there are many who may be in the future. I plan on being a psychologist or social worker.

destiny5 said...

There are a lot of young people who don't have interests in these fields and the unemployment rate is low. theres not enough jobs for all the people and its a problem. some of these young people need to take more interests in their future.

Ray G 5 said...

None of this job interest me. I think they should find people that are interested.

JasonSmith5 said...

No one really wants to be a machinist, plumber,or a welder because it's not a desired career. That field is in desperate need of workers in it. It also is a good paying job. I myself wouldn't want to be one. I want to go into criminal justice.

Andre 5 said...

People don't like to become a machinist or a welder or plumber becase those jobs are nasty

elizabeth martinez5 said...

i think are economis has change in the last few years, i mean are low business has drop more then 75%. Not many people would like to become a welder, but some do. Even though that has change people can still be whatever they want.

Nobody really want to become a machinist, welder. People usually wanna be a nurse or something similar.

A therapist is a good job i think for me but it's not my style. I think it's crazy how things are changing an i'm hopeing it will get better. My job for me i really don't know yet.

Kayla Grewe3 said...

Not many people out there these days wants to become a welder or machinist. But those that do need to strive to be their best and get into that field because that specific field is lacking. Most people these days want a job that pays good.

I like to weld, and take apart old electronics and fix them. Not many people can tell that just by looking at me, but that doesnt mean i dont. I believe some kids think they want to go in to the manufacturing department, but their dreams and dashed. So they find new dreams to pursue.

The problem is, a lot of people don't want to be a welder or work in a manufacturing area. Most people want to do something fun or something they enjoy instead of something boring or dangerous. Some people just need to do something that needs people in the job field. Like me i want to be a nurse im not interested in this.

blue collar jobs make amazing purse, especially if you work commercially. Such jobs like welding, electricians, and carpenters have a high injury risk factor though, and few people are willing to get hurt. People also enjoy using they're creativity in the work place way more than the on the spot problem solving blue collar jobs have to deal with, leaving little to no room for creativity.

Personally i find welding intriguing, but that's because i have inside view on it because my boyfriend is in training to be one. However i wouldn't ever want to be a welder, I want to go to school to be a trauma nurse.

The article i read was about the things that go into just making a polo shirt. All the things the do to it i think are not needed. They said they where using pearl button and a certain kind of fabric. And at the end the shirt came out to be $115 dollars. i would never spent that much on a polo shirt when i can go get the same shirt somewhere else for a cheaper price.
