i think they might go past us but you cant hold everything forever someones is finally going to pass you up also we are spending a lot of our money on just the war.Also, china has a greater population than the u.s. so it makes sense that they are going to pass us up but i don't feel it will be that big of a deal.
I am actually surprised that our economy is number one. I think it is getting worst and worst. Plus we barrow so much money from China. They just seem more financially stable than us.
I am extremely amazed by this article. Its unbelievable to see that what we call home somewhere everyone from other countries want to be will be passed up because of technology and the state of our economy. I have always thought China was had more intelligent people in their country but I would never have thought the U.S would get worse. Like gas prices and the value of the $1 bill going down.
I am not surprised that china will pass us as number one economy in the world. We have been out sourcing jobs and labor to china. We have not changed the way our economy works and the government has not acted on our recent decline and recessions. We just simply believe that we are the best when we should be working to stay the best instead of dreaming about it.
I can't believe our economy is actually number one in the world, it's crazy to think about. I feel like our economy is actually getting worse and worse each day, and it's hard to think we rank number one. I believe China will pass us up here soon, and with the debt we are in, it won't be hard to do.
I feel that the economy is horrible. And I can't believe we are ranked number one in the world. If we don't find a way to get out of debt and make our economy stronger soon, things are going to get so much worse.
IDK i didnt think that the U.S was number on in the economy i think that if Obama keeps doing his plan to decrese the countrys debt then maybe we can stay num 1.
i feel like the economy yes is bad , but i still have faith that we will blow over this by 2016 for sure. people blame obama and complain give the man freaking time thing cant change and get better other time one day people are going to thank him because i believe we will be alright be the time this year is over, hopefully.
i can beleive that china is gonna pass us because, we are sending all of our jobs over seas. and the main thing is people in the US dont wanna do the crappy jobs that todays americans wont do.
im sure we are going to get out of this mess we were number one and we are going to be #1 again
Just because America is on top now doesn't mean it will remain that way. A long series of mistakes and greedy business man have led us in such a huge debt to China it is very obvious we will soon no longer be number one economy.
Im surprised that we were actually number one right now. I feel bad for the other economies. But i am not surprised that china will pass us. I dont really see it as all that big of a deal though. Honestly i think that we will be back sometime. I dont think that it is anything to put any bearing on. Im not to proud to say we arent #1. The most important way to improve it is admit that we have flaws, in america's case, there are a LOT!
I guess i'm actually suprised that our economy is in first place. Everyone know our economy is in bad debt s this is going to be suprising for everyone because they aren't used to hearing that. But also I wouldnt be suprised if china passes us. But i dont think that just because we are at top now, we will stay that way forever...
I can't believe our economy is number 1?!?!?! That says a lot about how bad the economy is all around the world!! Our economy is sooo bad, i can only imagine how bad it is anywhere else. I don't think we'll be number one for long though.
Well, Our economy may be number one but it surely couldn't stay that way at the rate this country is going and what is happening with the war, we spend just too much money on it all. We borrow to much money and we just keep digging our hole bigger and bigger and eventually we will be passed up.

I think it's more frightening than anything that our economy is first. If we're in such bad shape now and still number one, think about how the other countries are.
We just simply believe that we are the best when we should be working to stay the best instead of dreaming about it.

If chinas economy will pass ours what does that mean? Is this a bad thing or good thing? How will this effect the U.s.? I've been thinking america has been the strongest country in the world for a long time but i guess times are changing. The reign of America is coming to a end or at least thats what i got from that article.
Knowing that our economy is number one is a big shock! And it just makes you think/wonder about the rest of the world and what there economy is actually like.

Our economy is bad but i believe its the people in charge. We need to change who's running our nation. If we keep the horrible spending up, our economy is going to fall even more.

Our economy is really bad i think we should not be number one because how much we are in debt. As a economy we should stop buying so many things from different countries cause that just make us have to pay more money which suck.
Yes are economy is not doing the best that it could be right now..But the dosent mean that were not going to be number one four years from now.America is in a slump right now but we will bounce out of it.We always do.
the economy is lower than america is used to, but we always get out of these type of situations. unnecessary governmental spending, and being in back to back wars
Its actually quite startling know that we have the number one economy in the world judging off how bad it is now. And other economies are trying to embody their economy from ours knowing the current state that it is in but the only question i have is who will take our place in the number one spot
I believe that it'll go up and down and by 2016 it'll be better then what it is today. If obama keeps up with what he's doing it should decrease hopefully.

Every year nations have their economic ups and downs, but the U.S. has been in a slump for a while. We owe so much debt not just to China, but to other countries also. I don't know what the future holds for us, but I have a bad feeling that war will break out and eventually drift us apart from every nation.
Our country is so far in debt its hard to believe we're ranked number one in the world. we keep getting worse and worse. I dont know exactly what will happen in the future but if things dont get better then we're screwed.
It is very sad to me that it has come to this kind of situation. Thing dont seem to be looking up either. Our country is in extreme debt and nobody has the money to pay back.
I hate to see it happen, but it does look like China could take over the U.S. economy. All of our jobs are now overseas which means less jobs for people in America. If all of our jobs cam back to America, there would be more jobs in America and we would have a better economy. I know someone that is a friend of my family and her job sends her overseas. She works for Lexis Nexis and she is already in India or somewhere in that region... maybe Indonesia? I do not remember. But if China rules America, we are screwed... and may not hae the freedom we do today.

I dont think its close to the end of the u.s being the top economy because we are just now starting to end the war in iraq and we are finally starting to come back out of our recession i think its just gonna take a little time and we will be going back at full speed like we have been for a while
our economy was number one which was a surprise but now its number 2 and china has taken our spot. its kind of not that big of a shocker because we borrow so much money from them
