It is hard to believe that americans make that much money. The numbers seem really large but if you break them down per month it would seem more reasonable. It also shocks me the way the amount raise so drasticly depending on the amount of education you have recieved.

The Average American Income does not suprise me at all beacause I believe that if you do not complete High School you have no oppurtunity to get a decent job in todays economy. So finishing High School and going to college to pursue your occupational needs will get you some were in life so that you actually get a nice average American income.

The income in american house is very low. I am not very suprised about the average income because the recession made the houses thats on market now so priceless which is a very bad thing.

jonharbin5 said...

I can understand why housing is low. Im glad that it hasn't affected my home. The average income wasn't surprising. The more schooling you have the more opportunities and money you will get in return

the amount of income was not surprising really. some people work really hard to make a lot of money that they deserve and the people who don't work as hard, don't make as much money. i think it's fair and that's how it should be.

It don't suprise me that the Average American makes that much money as a graduate. I think that everyone should at least graduate, if they don't atleast try your hardest cause more than likely not many people are going too get as goood as jobs & wont make that goood of money as a graduate...

This just means that education is very important in life. What average americans make really isn't enough to support them self plus kids if they him them in todays society. People think they can take the easy way out and graduate from high school and just work somewhere where the pay is decent, but those places have been laying off and shutting down. The article also shows that people who go onto more school get a incentive, and all their schooling pays off. They make double almost triple average american pay. I think they deserve it.

The amount an average American makes as a graduate is not that surprising. The more schooling you get the more money you get. While the less schooling, means less money. And I believe that's fair.

Well I believe that those of us who finish high school will have a good and decent job i suppose. But, going to college will get you a better job. People who have dreams of prospering in their passions but, people are lazy and they just don't want to deal with the schoolwork because they feel that they'll enjoy their dreams and all the schoolwork won't help them. Anyways you have to finish High school to get a decent job but if you want to really make money or maybe even continue with your dream, you have to go to college and get your degree and work hard to do so. Make yourself look good. People who don't think it's fair that the incomes vary with employee's because of their education have just been spoiled. it's completely fair that the people who worked harder and work harder now to get where they're at today deserve to get paid more.

The fact that if you have more education, the more money you get does not surprise me. If you don't get a high school or better education don't expect much from life, or your job. Nuff said.

The average american income is about how it should be. If you don't graduate high school, then you're lacking so much chances on good jobs. People who've went to college and had been placed into a job corresponding to their major make a lot more money than people who've not. But if this recession picks up again, then the average income will go down considerably.

LHappy7 said...

no this does not we have been taught from a very young age that the higher your education the better your job will be i mean they were telling that to us in the first grade. i do think that do to the recession jobs are a lot harder to find. the truth of the matter is no one can afford to hire anyone because the business they run isnt getting customers because no one has money because no one can get a job.

MaxC3 said...

Its pretty simple the more education and experience you have, means that you will have alot more job selections to pick from and higher paying jobs to pick from. These numbers show that.

JessSinger5 said...

The more schooling you have, the more of an opportunity of a better job you will have. Thats common sense. The average income to me, wasn't surprising though.

KevenC.pd7 said...

this mean tht school is important for anything because if u dont havent finish school your job isnt safe cause they could lay you off and then from their what you going to repeat the same problem in your life over and over

EJJunior3 said...

The article shows the average American's income. it shows the difference between incomes of an average high school graduate all the way to a college educated. all it is saying that if you want your income better than an average you have to work

KrystalC3 said...

The Average American Income is not a shocker, its actually understandable. With all the drop outs in high school ofcourse our income is gonna be low. People need to get their education and find jobs in order to get a better income

S. Davis 3 said...

the average american income is very low. having recessions make prices go up for owners etc. to get more money. if people purchase things that mean their money own spending goes very low to being broke.

The more educated you is the better opportunity you a have finding a specific job out here specially something that you like at that an best suits you. Start off there an follow that path an maybe it a lead you into your choice of career

joshuat said...

education is the key to sucess in life and the income we have now is no surprise to get a considerable income your best chances are finishing high school and going to college

LindseyxShartzer5 said...

The average american income doesn't surprise me at all. With drop out rates increasing, people aren't able to get as good jobs. People that have more schooling and are better educated have the ability to get a better job that pays more.

jacobg5 said...

The more education you get, the better off you will be in the long run. You will get paid more, and get jobs people can't get with out a high school education.

Jesse C. 5 said...

People generally are not as intersted in education as they used to be do to cultural changes. Therefore, it will be harder for the average American to make a decent salary. So no, I am not at all surprised with these statistics.

gmcknight5 said...

this doesnt surprise me at all because the more education you recieve the more you make.It seems that in futuer if you dont get a decent college degree you will stuggle to get a job

DeanteTyreil said...

The average american income Is sufficiently low because the economy has been so bad due to the recession. Rates have been increasing but jobs have been decreasing. But the people with jobs pay have been decreasing thus the average american income has decreased

Dakotaw said...

It doesn't surprise me because you have a education. The more education you get the more money you will get. If you don't have a education it will be harder to get some money or even a job.

rickythomas6 said...

the income of americans is about how it should be the income you get is determined by what you go to school for, but if a lot of people get the same job as you get then it be harder for you to find a job then you will prolly have to work for less

NIsom6 said...

The numbers they were saying seems about right but i think for people with less education the numbers are lower than they are saying and for the higher up jobs it makes since you make that much money cause the more education youve had it would cost u alot of money in college but that means you will make more money in the long run.

JBurley7 said...

The average American income isn't that surprising. The more schooling you complete and the higher degree of education you receive, the more income you will make in your career. If you only get a high school degree, your not going to have that good of a paying job.

Rdejesus7 said...

we should keep unions because we need everything but if we dont got a job what we can do without of job...

KevenC.pd7 said...

the average income for american doesnt surprise me because the rates how they increase. also people who have finish college get better jobs n the ones who dont go just get regular jobs.

KarieFoster5 said...

I believe that if you have more education then you should get paid more, you, need more money because you have student loans to pay off, and your hard work should be reward, also if you had to go to college for your career then it is probably harder and more demanding than a regular run of the mill, minimum wage job.

HayleyLawson said...

The average income for americans doesn't surprise me because the higher schooling you have, the more you will make. Everyone should atleast graduated highschool or their not going to get much money in the long run.

Education is key it's a better opportunity you a have to not only have a career in something you love, But with higher education better than a high school education....Your looking at more money in your pocket....at least thats how i view it

jwilmot3 said...

i am not surprise me because college is getting more and more costly so less people is going so there not making as much money and the people that didnt finish hight school is making even less

James H 6 said...

First off I'm not that surprised to hear about the average American income. Lets be honest, if you don't graduate high school you can't expect to make a decent amount of money. To be honest even if you do graduate high school in today's world you need some type of further schooling to live a comfortable and secure life style.

RSnowden7 said...

First of all, let's be honest. If you do not go to college, you do not get a good paying job. You get Burger King, Mcdonalds, or even Kroger. If you go to college and graduate, you need at least an associate's degree, PhD, or bachelor's degree to get a good paying job. Hearing about the average income for Americans does not surprise me. All American jobs are going overseas which is really a lot more bad news for us Americans.

leahb3 said...

If you have a high school diploma and you have college then you can get any job you want and you could make a lot of money instead of working some minimum wage job, that barley supports a family

JackieOpesky5 said...

The average american income really surprised me. I understand that you need to get an education to get a good paying job. But I had never really realized how big of a difference it made.
