I do think that prices on most food items will rise higher and higher each day. In todays society we are not sticking to a budget and thats why things are not working out as planned.I do think this will effect some Americans that are already struggling to by the basics like milk bread eggs sugar etc. If prices continue to rise I think more people will try to get on welfare to feed their families. But this could make Americans stop spending so much on resturant food because they would need to eat cheap.This also could make some Americans healthier because they would be less dependent on resturant food.
I think its crazy how the raising prices of cotton and grain effects all other goods. Americans are losing jobs to people in other countries because the people in thoses countries work for less wages then we do. I feel like this has something to do with the raising price of grain and cotton which is so vidal to our everyday lives. If we can start getting our jobs back I believe it will help lower the price of grain and cotton.
I don't believe that this idea of food prices rising is unimaginable. If you look at how our economy is supposedly doing well and falling again, the prices rising was yet to come. I do believe though, that this might make people think before they go grocery shopping that, "Do I really need this?" before they toss that item in their carts. The prices going up might stop a unneeded items from going home with them.
I feel tat the prices on food will continue to raise higher&higher every wk. if you look at eggs at Kroger most of the time there $1.89 a dozen until on sell for $10 for $10. now a days all people do now is get on welfare to satisfy there money probs. such as trying to recieve food stamps for groceries and welfare checks. if people will learn to buy a month supply groceries and cook at home more then they will spend less money each month on restuarant food etc.
i think that every one should get food stamps because it would be easier for every one. the prices will raise but that way you should be able to buy some food for their famililes before the proices get super high.
i think that the high powers keep on talking and letting us no as the people how good chinas is doing and who there getting it , maybe we need to start being more like china. i think that if food and clothing prices keep rising people will start shopping on computer if cheaper or even apply for welfare to help them.

Its been tough on people and with the food prices and cotton prices rising its going to be even more tough. I understand how the food pricing is going up but i think the prices for foods will go down soon. I don't know how the prices are going up but i do think the prices will go back to the same for foods and cotton.
Food prices will always increase. This is because the US has a large population and have unlimited wants especially when it comes to eating. The only way we could salvage this situation is to either try to produce more food items like crops and livestock or depend on other countries to trade with us for food. These are just 2 ideas though and im sure people will come up with many more to try and solve this problem.
I think the price increases are a bit ridiculous, but at the same time there is a good reason for them. Because the economy is so shaky right now producers need to make a profit somehow so they increased the prices of food. Everyone knows that food is a necessity, so everyone will continue to purchase it no matter what the price is.

Well I look at the price rising as a good thing. One might argue against me for sure but i believe that if the prices are going up than we are moving out of the recession and people are slowly spending more money. Also you have to look at it from a business owners perspectives. If business has been slow the past couple years due to the economy, and now people are buying again so of course its reasonable to raise prices a little and try to make more money. As a consumers point of view it may be more money out of my pocket but everyone makes their own decisions on how they spend their money.

I knew this was coming. And I'll also be the negative one and say that it will only get worse. If things like shirts are going up by $10 - $12 dollars, then things we actually depend on are going to be in high demand. The government will try to deflate the inflation but their trials will be in vain. We're too much in debt to help ourselves if we get too deep into this. If we have any chance of getting out of this before it starts, it has to be within these next 3 months or I'm pretty sure we're done for.

Prices are rising on everything. It is scary. With the cost of everything going up and so many people losing their jobs and being in such tight financial situation it is going to be impossible to live soon. Living comfortable is becoming more of a luxury everyday. I know personally my family lives paycheck to paycheck and we have to pick what bills we can actually pay that month. It is seriously scary never knowing with the prices are going to get so bad that you just can afford the simplest things such as food.
